On Loving Well
I was that person that got mad at you if you didn’t treat me right going through the till. I was the one that let you know swiftly if my coffee wasn’t hot enough. I was that person who honked at the cars that cut me off – not to let them know that I was there but to let them know that I was super angry at them.
Peace
When I was a little girl, I suffered greatly from anxiety attacks. Debilitating fear was never very far away from me. Traveling in the car was my worst nightmare.
Hope
I gazed at the twinkling lights on my Christmas tree and with a sudden pang realized that it would be the first Christmas tree that Jer and I had ever ever had that his Dad would not see. It was a strange thought that hit me out of nowhere. Not that our tree was much different than any of the other years – a couple more ornaments, but the same theme.
